Forecasters have been given a bad name: weathermen, economists, psychics.
When looking to the future, some use horoscopes; others . . . palm reading, some use math. Dr. Mike uses math, surveys, and publicly available data to make well reasoned and highly accurate predictions. When all else fails, dice rolls and coin flips also work. The day before the 2016 elections, Dr. Mike correctly forecast 80/81 races (gave Hillary Clinton a slight advantage in Wisconsin). 21 races were left as tossups of which Republicans won 11 and Democrats won 10. Dr. Mike must be very good at flipping coins to get half elephants and half donkeys. The day before the 2020 elections, Dr. Mike correctly forecast 89/94 races (gave Donald Trump a slight advantage in Arizona, Georgia, and Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District; and Republican Senators the advantage in both Georgia Senate Races). Only 8 races were left as tossups of which Republicans won 2 and Democrats won 6. |
